The Virtrio Mobile App: Your Whole Event, Now in Your Pocket

The Virtrio experience has been removed from the desktop.

We’re launching the Virtrio mobile app for attendees — a native iOS and Android companion that puts the entire event in your pocket. Sessions, networking, your agenda, sponsor booths, and the AI assistant, all designed for the device that’s already in your hand throughout the day.

And before anyone asks: no, this doesn’t change the thing people love most about Virtrio.

First, what doesn’t change

One of Virtrio’s quiet superpowers has always been that attendees don’t have to download anything. The full event runs in the browser, on any device, with nothing to install — which is exactly why participation rates stay high, especially in corporate settings where “please download our app” is where engagement goes to die.

That stays. The web experience isn’t going anywhere, and it isn’t getting worse to push you toward the app. If you want to tap a link and walk straight into an event with zero friction, you still can.

The app isn’t a new requirement. It’s an upgrade for the people who want more — and for the moments where a phone simply beats a browser tab.

Why an app, when the web already works?

Because some things only a native app can do well. The Virtrio app exists for four of them.

You’ll never miss the moment that matters.

The single biggest reason people drift away from a virtual event is timing. The keynote you wanted started while you were in another tab. The person you’d been chatting with replied an hour after you’d closed the window. The session you saved slipped your mind.

Push notifications fix that. Your next session starts in 15 minutes. Someone messaged you. A booth you visited just dropped a new resource. The event reaches out to you, on your lock screen, instead of waiting passively in a browser you’ve long since switched away from. Attendance and engagement rise for the simplest possible reason — people actually show up when something taps them on the shoulder.

It’s fast, and it feels it.

A native app doesn’t fight the browser for memory, doesn’t reload when you switch away, and doesn’t stutter on a patchy conference WiFi connection. Navigating between rooms, opening a chat, jumping into a session — it’s smoother and quicker than mobile web can be, because it’s built for the phone rather than squeezed onto it. Small difference per tap; large difference across a full day of an event.

It’s the companion you actually want on-site.

Virtrio runs hybrid events, and hybrid is where a phone earns its place. When you’re physically at a venue, your laptop is back at the hotel — but your phone is with you. The app becomes your on-site companion: your agenda in your pocket, fast check-in, the live program, and a direct line to everything happening in the virtual layer alongside the room you’re standing in. The gap between “in the building” and “on the platform” closes to nothing.

Networking that travels with you

The best connections at any event rarely happen on schedule. They happen in the gaps — the coffee queue, the walk between sessions, the moment you remember you meant to message someone. With networking in your pocket, you can reply to a chat, accept a match, or pick up a conversation the instant it occurs to you, wherever you are. Your network stops being something you tend at a desk and starts being something you carry around the room.

Built to feel like their event, not ours

Everything that makes Virtrio Virtrio carries into the app. It’s white-label to the core — attendees experience your event, your brand, your colours. The underlying platform stays invisible, exactly as it does on the web. The app is a more capable surface for the same principle we’ve always held: the event belongs to the organiser and the people in it, not to the technology underneath.

Available now

The Virtrio attendee mobile app is live — feature-complete, on both iOS and Android. Download it from the App Store or Google Play and sign in with the same credentials you use on the web.

The web experience you rely on stays exactly as it is — zero-download, universal, friction-free. The app simply gives the attendees who want it a faster, more present, more connected way to be part of the event.

Your whole event, now in your pocket. Go and put it in your attendees’ hands.

The Virtrio mobile app is available now on iOS and Android.
